About Me

I am a massage therapist, an educator, a pain coach.

I am a yoga instructor with an interest in strength science and how it intersects with pain science.

I am a lifelong student, integrating myofascial, sports massage, Craniosacral Therapy, and pain neuroscience education together for a uniquely therapeutic session.

My practice began in New Orleans, where I helped open a Pilates and massage studio, in service of getting clients back to their most comfortable and confident bodies. Inspired by both theories around the fascial system and the energetic body, I’ve worked to improve mobility in professional athletes, reduce stiffness in desk workers, and support many folks suffering from the often mysterious and debilitating chronic pain.

After the pandemic, I opened a practice in Durham, NC. After years of struggling with my own persistent pain and feeling for the subset of clients whose pain would be relieved only to flare back up, I began to delve into research on pain and the nervous system. Led by the most up to date evidence strategies, l left behind the dogma of postural assessment and “correction”, convinced that pain relief was not dependent on the elimination of fascial adhesions, trigger points and asymmetries in the body.

Now I find myself in the beautiful East Bay, where my use massage therapy, movement, and emotional support to coach clients in reaching the end of their pain journey.
